With Fansproject’s release of the previously reviewed TFX-06 Red Armor for Classics voyager-scaled Optimus Prime, they also released the TFX-07 Blue Armor for the Ultra Magnus repaint of the same mold. Overall Score: 6.5/10 – Overall, I feel like this armor was made with Optimus more in mind to where the Blue Magnus version feels like more of optimizing that mold with a repaint than focus on Magnus (which is fair; the original City Commander mold and its repaints were the exact same thing but for the opposite characters.) With that being said,
although this is aesthetically stronger, and miles more functional in play, TFX-07 doesn’t give off the same charm as the original TFX-01 City Commander did or give me the same, imposing vibe on a shelf that the TFX-06 Red Armor does on Optimus Prime. TFX-07 is not a disappointing piece by any means, but really just doesn’t wow me on any level. The extending missile gimmick on the launchers is awesome, though.
